Artist's Description

This is the east side of Mackinac Island, a northern Michigan resort community which was once a national park and where no automobiles are permitted. The church near the center is Ste. Anne Catholic Church which has served the parish of Sainte Anne de Michilimackinac since 1695. The current church was constructed in 1874.
