Artist's Description
This photograph is from Wings of Remembrance, an airshow and fly in which was held for several years in Newton, Kansas. The Zero "Rora 101" is actually a retired RCAF plane which was rebuilt as a replica of a Mitsubishi Zero from World War 2 for use by 20th Century Fox in the movie "Tora,Tora,Tora!"
The P-51 Mustang was built in Inglewood, California and used by the USAAF in World War 2. It is named "Gunfighter" and is flown by several pilots at events around the country.
This shot was captured on June 5, 2005 with a Nikon E8700 set with the lens aperture at F/5.7, shutter speed 1/230 second and ISO-50.
