With 41,000 acres of wetlands, Cheyenne Bottoms near Great Bend, Kansas is the largest inland marsh in the United States. This shot includes American avocets (Recurvirostra americana), great egrets (Ardea alba), snowy egrets (Egretta thula), great blue herons (Ardea herodias), and
mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchos)
