Artist's Description

With 41,000 acres of wetlands, Cheyenne Bottoms near Great Bend, Kansas is the largest inland marsh in the United States. The American white pelicans (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) were my favorite part of the park. They were a little shy and this was taken with my longest lens.

This was taken with a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS set at f/5, shutter speed 1/800 second and ISO-80.
