Artist's Description

Fort Michilimackinac in Mackinaw City, Michigan is a reconstructed 18th century fort, which was originally built by the French on the shore of the Straits of Mackinac. It was expanded several times and was taken over by the British army following the French and Indian War. During the American Revolution, the fort was moved to Mackinac Island.
