Artist's Description
Fourteen Foot Shoal Light (1930) was one of the first automated lights and was operated by radio control from Poe Light. It is located near the mouth of the Cheboygan River in Lake Huron and can be seen in the distance from that location.
This photograph was taken during a lighthouse tour with Shepplers Ferry service out of Mackinaw City. It was taken with a Canon PowerShot S3 IS set to f/3.5 and shutter speed 1/1,600 second.
