Description
Mackinac Island is a small resort island in the Straits of Mackinac between Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula, where no motor vehicles are permitted. It was named one of the Top 10 Islands in the World by Conde Nast Traveler.
The 1887 Grand Hotel has a 667' long front porch and has been featured in two motion pictures. Fort Mackinac was built during the American Revolution and a War of 1812 site.
