Description
WAGB 83 was the first of two United States Coast Guard Cutters to be named the Mackinaw. The 290 feet long old ship was built in Toledo, Ohio and commissioned in December, 1944. On June 10, 2006 the old vessel was decommissioned and the new one was commissioned. This photograph was taken on June 11, 2006 while both ships were docked at the Millard D. Olds Memorial Mooring in Cheboygan, Michigan.
