Description
Les Trois Perdants is French for Three Losers, the Parisian of Three Card Monte. It is also called Bonneteau.
Three Card Monte is a confidence game in which a mark is tricked into betting that they can find the money card among three face-down playing cards or disks. The victim will watch shills playing and winning at the game and will be confident that they can beat an unwinable game.
This photograph was taken on Rue de Steinkerque, just beneath the Basilique du Sacre Coeur in Paris, France. It was somewhat dangerous taking this photo, as there are often up to 5 people in a gang running the scam and they do not want evidence.
