There are two sets of waterfalls on the Tahquamenon River, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The lower falls has a much shorter drop, but are still beautiful, Tahquamenon River has an island at this point and there are parallel falls. This one is the south lower falls.
Tahquamenon Falls are always beautiful, but they were spectacular with the fall colors, when this photo was taken in October 2008 with a Canon PowerShot S5 IS set with the lens at F/4, shutter speed 1/250 second and ISO-80.
Keith Stokes usually has a camera in his hand - photographing Mackinaw City & Mackinac Island in northern Michigan for MightyMac.org, Kansas & Kansas City for KansasTravel.org and science fiction conventions for MidAmericon.org. I am really enjoying your work. I was born and raised in KS but now live in NW Ohio. We traveled up to St.Ignace a few yrs ago and seeing all your pictures of the Macinac Bridge are bringing back so many memories I just told hubs I want to go back. I would love to see this area Taquamenon Falls. Are any of these views available to see by car. My husband is disabled so we do alot of road trips just to sight see. Thanks for sharing these. Love them!
