Description
Mackinac Island in northern Michigan's Straits of Mackinac has been featured in the movie's "Somewhere In Time" and "This Time For Keeps." It was America's second National Park (after Yellowstone), but was later turned over to the State of Michigan ad 85% of the Island is State Park. No automobiles are permitted on the Island, which has a winter population of under 500 people.
The lighthouses in the distance at the left are Round Island Passage Light and Round Island Lighthouse.
This photo was taken from the ramparts of Fort Mackinac, which was built by the British during the American Revolution. It was taken with a Nikon D5200, at ISO-100, f/10 and a 1/400 second exposure.
