The Keeper of the Plains in Wichita, Kansas was created in 1974 and placed at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers. The 44', 5 ton stylized sculpture of an Indian Chief was designed by Native American artist Blackbear Bosin (1921-1980)
Keith Stokes usually has a camera in his hand - photographing Mackinaw City & Mackinac Island in northern Michigan for MightyMac.org, Kansas & Kansas City for KansasTravel.org and science fiction conventions for MidAmericon.org.
