Artist's Description
The Cross in the Woods is a Catholic shrine in Indian River, Michigan which was declared a national shrine by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on September 15, 2006. The bronze figure on the bronze clad redwood cross was sculpted by Marshall Fredericks. The 55' Cross in the Woods is the second largest crucifix in the world.
