Description
The ruins of Urquhart Castle are 2 miles from Drumnadrochit on a rocky peninsula along the shore of Loch Ness. The castle was blown up in 1692 to keep it from becoming a Jacobite stronghold. The castle tntered the National Trust for Scotland in 2003.
This photo was taken on August 2, 2005 with a Nikon E8700 with the lens aperture set to F/6.3, shutter speed 1/275 second and ISO-50. I liked the contrast of the bright sunny foreground with the overcast stormy looking background.
