With cloud cover predicted over much of the center of the country, we wnet with the second of our two backup motels, in Kearney, Nebraska. We considered going to a "watch party," but ended up in the parking lot behind our hotel. This was taken with a Nikon D5200, f/5.6, 1/80 second, 300 mm lens. The small dot on the left is the planet Mercury.
