Round Island Lighthouse was constructed in 1895 in the Straits of Mackinac, across from Mackinac Island, Michigan. In 1980 the lighthouse was featured in the movie Somewhere In Time.

It is an actual island, due south of Mackinac Island. In the movie Somewhere In TIme, Christofer Reeve rows Jane Seymour there in a small boat.
