Mackinac Island was America's 2nd national park, following Yellowstone. It later became Michigan's 1st State Park. No automobiles are permitted on the Island, though (as you can see) snowmobiles are right at home. Fort Mackinac which dates from the American Revolution can be seen on the bluff.
Keith Stokes usually has a camera in his hand - photographing Mackinaw City & Mackinac Island in northern Michigan for MightyMac.org, Kansas & Kansas City for KansasTravel.org and science fiction conventions for MidAmericon.org.
