Description

These are some of the largest waves that I have seen on the Straits of Mackinac. It was windy enough that the power was out in Mackinaw City when these photos of the Mackinac Bridge were taken. If you are unfamiliar with this bridge, you may not realize how big that spray is - compare it to the size of the semis on the roadway above.

This photo was taken September 7, 2007 - which happened to be my parents 70th wedding anniversary. It was taken with a Canon PowerShot S3 set at f/3.5 and 1/800 second shutter speed.
