Artist's Description
This is the view from the desk where Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote "The Rainy Day." Is is from a small room behind the parlor in Wadsworth-Longfellow House in Portland Maine. The photo was taken in the afternoon of a rainy October day, but the sun had finally broken through while we were in the house.
